Academic Half Day: Communication Skills

This week we will shift our focus to our communication skills! We’ll be working through some simulated cases in our small groups as we review communication techniques and discuss best practices. Check out the resources below in preparation for Thursday!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify conflict and collaborate through commonly encountered conflicts. 

  2. Utilize the “choice talk, option talk, and decision talk” model for shared decision making to help patients navigate challenging decisions." 

  3. Recognize instances of racism, discrimination, and microaggressions and use the OWFTD model to respond.
