Weekly Announcements: 1/18/19
/The 2018-19 UC IM recruitment season has come to an end!! Thank you to everyone who came to dinners, participated in noon report, and visited the Mark Brown Library in the afternoon. We are incredibly excited about the applicants from this year. Can’t wait to see that The Match will bring!
Instead of Weesner prep/Noon Report on Thursday 1/24, from 1-2 PM residents will have an opportunity to express their assessment of the strengths, weaknesses, concerns and suggestions for improvement in the Department of Medicine. This will be run by a committee from the College of Medicine and will not include faculty or chief residents. The meeting will take place in the Medical Sciences Building, 2nd floor, Room 2001. Lunch will be provided. We recognize that is the same day as Intern Retreat and thus ask that all senior residents please attend if possible!
Intern retreat is on Thursday 1/24! Interns, get ready for a day of relaxation, reflection, and “escape.” Thank you to all the upper years who are covering to make the retreat possible
Thank you to all faculty, residents, and housestaff for your continued efforts in geographic wards. We have a packed hospital and thus some adjustments have to be made at times. Thank you for your hard work and patience in the evolving system
Check out the UCMC Geographic Wards page to learn more about the general structure and specifics of each service. If you have questions, please ask Elliott or Greg.
Your input is vital for improvement, we will be having regular meetings at 3 PM in the UH NRR on Monday-Friday to get your feedback - we want to know what is working and what we can improve
If you miss a 3 PM meeting or want to know what was discussed, the minutes of these meetings and answers to questions will be posted daily in the “3 PM Meeting / Feedback” section on the geographic wards page
You can also fill out the feedback section at the bottom of the UCMC Geographic Wards page
If you have undone discharge summaries at the VA, please complete them. If you aren’t sure if you do, then Bo will contact you. Get em’ done and give Bo a break!
The Clinician Educator Pathway will be meeting on Monday 1/21 at 12 PM in MSB 6254
