Academic Half Day: Sepsis
/For the next Academic Half Day, we will be reviewing sepsis. Take some time to read the following articles. In Sepsis-3, focus on the new definitions of sepsis and septic shock as well as some of the new understanding with sepsis's pathophysiology. For the BMJ review article, only read until "Molecular targeted sepsis therapies" on page 11. This article does a nice job of reviewing some new pathophysiology as well as standard of care therapies. Finally, a powerpoint from the Surviving Sepsis Campaign is posted below. It's a nice, concise review of their recommendation. Take a few minutes to review them
