Academic Half Day: Meningitis

This week we will be discussing meningitis, paying special attention to differentiating viral from bacterial meningitis! In preparation for this week’s discussion, I would start off with the IDSA guidelines regarding bacterial meningitis and supplement it with the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine article on meningitis. The evidence behind why we use steroids in bacterial meningitis and a video on how to perform a lumbar puncture are attached here as well. Something we will not spend a lot of time on during AHD will be encephalitis, but I have attached a great article on this for reading!
