Expectations for Mentor and Mentee

Mentor:

  • Provide content and research expertise

  • Be available and accessible for meetings

  • Allow independence with oversight

  • Review presentations

  • Be present for “Research in Progress” sessions

  • Be present for presentations

  • Review Abstracts, Publications

Mentee:

  • Plan and set regular meetings

  • Be responsive

  • Includes monthly updates to mentor, advisor on your progress

  • Follow through on assigned tasks

  • Allow sufficient time for tasks to be completed (analysis, review presentations, review abstracts)

  • Be proactive – this is YOUR project
