Read MoreThis week’s academic half day will focus on Diabetes (primarily type 2 diabetes). We will review some of the underlying normal glucose homeostasis, the physiologic role of insulin, and the pathophysiology of diabetes. We will work through cases and by the end of the session you should be able to properly order and adjust insulin for patients admitted to the hospital and diagnose and manage DKA vs HHS. We are joined by our amazing guest experts from the Endocrinology Department Dr. Mercedes Falciglia, Adele Corbin, and Brittany Woolf.
